We met up with our good friends from SF, Ed and Elaine along with their daughter Elise back at the hotel. We went out to a nice dinner and enjoyed our night in Rome before heading to bed realtively early. Tomorrow would be a busy day siteseeing. We woke up and grabbed a cab to drop us off near the ruins. We toured the Roman Forum and many of the amazing ruins in the area. Some of the ruins date back over 2000 years! A tip learned from Elaine, buy your tickets to the Forum and the Colosseum at the same time at the Forum. This allowed us immediate access to the Colosseum when we arrived and avoid the massive lines. the lines for the Forum are much shorter.
